About the nursery

Victoria Brook Day Nursery is a family run business situated in the Chadderton area of Oldham. We are open each weekday from 7:45am to 17:00pm, excluding bank holidays. The nursery caters for children from 18 months to 5 years old.

The nursery is conveniently located nearby to the M60 motorway and within easy access of local towns such as Royton, Chadderton, Middleton and Oldham. The nursery was started in 1977 by the proprieter Angela Kirkham. During this time, with the help of her deputy Anne Hill, the nursery has gained a Quality Assurance and Investors in People Award.

All staff are qualified and experienced.

The nursery is divided into three rooms

  • The Rainbow Room (18 months to 2 years)
  • The Busy Bee Room (2 years to 3 years)
  • The Nursery Class (3 years to 5 years

(Children move through the nursery at a pace that is right for themselves and this is not dependant on their age)

Indoors all three rooms are well stocked with age appropriate and stimulating resources and displays.

Outdoors the nursery has extensive gardens and play areas, including: Sensory garden, vegetable plots, lawned area, covered softplay area and our very own “Gruffalo Woods”.

The nursery believes that all children should have equality of access to our provision and we welcome all children and will endeavour to meet their needs.
